Peter Rees has spent his professional life deciphering and rejuvenating urban areas, especially in his role as the City Planning Officer for the City of London over the last 3 decades. His AA Night School workshop will explore one of the more basic social influences upon the form and development of London – SEX. He will lead a participative, but fully clothed, exploration into the ways in which the search for sex and romance attracts young people to a big city and provides the social glue to bind a disparate cosmopolitan community. From the medieval prostitutes of Bankside to the railway arch saunas of Vauxhall; from clandestine liaisons in Mayfair to fetish clubs in the East End, Londoners are “at it” and always have been. Join us for an erotic exploration of urban morphology.
