East End Social Housing Bike Tour
AA Night School delves to the edges of east London in March with a tour of some of the areas most intriguing, architect-designed social housing estates.

The tour is led by Andrea Klettner, editor of Love London Council Housing and includes talks by Finn Williams (GLA), Daisy Froud of AOC, Paul Karakusevic of Karakusevic Carson and David Knight of DK_CM

with input from locals and architects along the way, the tour will start at London’s first council housing, the Boundary Estate, making its way east to the Smithson’s Robin Hood Gardens via Lubetkin’s Cranbrook Estate and Erno Goldfinger’s Balfron Tower.

We will also explore the Lansbury Estate, built as a live architecture exhibition for the 1951 Festival of Britain.
Note: The bike ride is approximately 6 miles from Arnold Circus and finishes at Robin Hood Gardens. It should take approx. 2.5 hours.
